Please join Nora Foster Stovel for a six-week course on the six completed novels of Jane Austen. All sessions will include lectures, illustrated by clips from film adaptations of the novels, followed by group discussions. Reading Austen’s novels before the sessions is recommended, not required.

About the instructor: Dr Nora Foster Stovel is a Professor Emerita at the University of Alberta, where she taught in the Department of English and Film Studies from 1985 to 2015. She has published on Jane Austen, D.H. Lawrence, Margaret Laurence, Margaret Drabble, Margaret Atwood, Carol Shields, and Classical Ballet.
